i've really dropped the ball on this here blog for the past months. there likely is not a soul still tuning in to the life and times of me any longer. guess that frees me up a bit to go crazy. or something. so why now? why return after months of stony silence? and where in the deuce have i been you might ask if you were here.
well since we last met i've had minor surgery on my bunk left fallopian tube, road tripped around iceland with my wonderful mama, embarked on nyc baby tour 08 and just now came in from the netroots nation conference taking place here in austin. general wesley clark and howard dean just delivered rousing speeches on the people-powered politics made possible by the "greatest invention since the printing press" - the internet. i guess being surrounded by all these bloggers motivated me to grab the proverbial pen and get back to it.
back to dean - he's much better live, quite charismatic. he talked a lot about obama and the fifty-state strategy that is going to take america back from the crazies. that this election is about passing the torch to the netroots generation - a generation that understands that we all must be included, regardless of race, sexual orientation or religion. he called upon us to read out history - read up on the lincoln / douglas debates, wilson's and roosevelt's speeches. remember that we are a nation built upon great ideals and that the objective is not a partisan one. but rather to do what is best for us as a nation, not a party.
